Video Games Movies That Should Be Made

Written by: Adam "ManKorn" Korenman, CC2K Video Games Editor

(1) Assassin’s Creed

The Assassin’s Creed series is a difficult pick to turn into a film. On the one hand, venturing into history to main and murder is always a recipe for a good time. On the other hand, the present-day pseudo-religious scifi story is a garbled mess. How can you reconcile this into a cohesive film?

Easy. Skip the present-day crap and stick with what makes the series so memorable: the assassinations.

Not pictured: boring discussions about coronal mass ejections

Stick to a better storyline, like the one from the central trilogy, Assassin’s Creed II. In this story, we follow Ezio Auditore de Firenze, a man on a mission of vengeance. His family is murdered, betrayed by their friends, and all at the behest of a powerful dynasty. In order to see justice served, Ezio must bathe in the blood on his enemies.

It was the best entry in the series by far, and told a story more compelling than any movie I’ve seen this year–with the exception of Frozen

A lot of folks need killing, that’s why I brought two blades

The Comic Book bubble is about to burst, Hollywood. You need to start looking elsewhere for new movie fodder. The board game market didn’t do you any favors, so I’m suggesting you take another look at Video Games.

And learn from your mistakes. The world can’t survive another Legend of Chun Li.
