Video Games Movies That Should Be Made

(4) Star Fox

Take away the goofy animals, beef up the scifi violence and suddenly you’ve turned a tame adventure game into a epic space opera.

Star Fox is more than just an on-rails shooter. You have the ace pilot struggling with his father’s death, the asshole with a lost love, the lovable old fart and the annoying rookie all fighting against an evil emperor. It has all the depth of Star Wars, but without baby Anakin to ruin everything.

I’m sorry that Hollywood ruined your life, but you ruined my favorite franchise

Now here’s the kicker: We cast real live humans and play the whole thing straight. Guardians of the Galaxy may get away with a machine-gun-toting raccoon, but it’s better for most audiences to see the same species on screen.

Note: I am not in the least bit mad at this

Tell the story from Star Fox 64, where the veteran Fox team must save the various worlds from Andross and his ilk. Along the way they would face the Wolfpack, attack the Andross fortress, and face dangers that can only be escaped by…you know.

It’s been too long since movie goers have had a serious space opera. And since When the Stars Fade won’t be hitting theaters for at least another few years, this could be an excellent filler.
