Jack Bauer is coming back sooner than you think.
Because the season seven premiere of Fox's Patriot-Act-enabling action series 24 has been delayed to January 2009, the show's producers have decided to give the fans something to tide them over: a two-hour TV movie.
The movie will bridge the action between seasons six and seven and is set to air in the fall.
Three days into the writer's strike, Fox decided to nix any plans of a disjointed 24 season and bumped season seven to next year.
If you're ever looking for some high comedy, pop in any scene from any episode of 24 and watch it in a vacuum (this works best with a season you haven't seen in awhile). I tried it and happened to watch the scene in season five where jack storms into the President's secret chamber, announces himself and then proceeds to torture the President's chief of staff to death. Classic!
