South Park: The Stick of Truth
In case you’ve been living in one of the deep mines of Europa for the last fifteen years, let me bring you up to speed. South Park is one of the best shows on television. It is an Emmy award-winning series that follows the misadventures of four 4th-graders and their podunk town in Colorado. It has set the standard by which other adult-oriented animated showed are judged, and it gets better every season.
A few years back, the creators hinted at the idea of making a new game based on the series. This wasn’t their first foray into the console world, but it is probably better to forget the laughable N64 title.

Learning from mistakes has always been a cornerstone of the South Park creators, and their new effort looks to be an insanely fun journey into the world of the cartoon. Designed to look and feel just like the TV show, The Stick of Truth will offer a wholly unique RPG experience.
Why you should freak out:
This is a game written and directed by the geniuses behind South Park! Forget for a moment the horrific nightmare on the N64. Since that time, these two men (and their team of creative masters) have crafted Oscar-nominated songs, Emmy-winning shows and Tony-winning musicals. They may yet become the first artists to EGOT on the power of fart jokes. Role Playing Games rely heavily on story, and that element is in the best of hands.
Gameplay wise, this looks to be pretty standard fair. Perhaps along the lines of The Rain Slick Precipice of Darkness, this game will pull from other successful titles in order to cull the learning curve. In any case, it should be fun to play as well as watch.
