Without even playing the video below, how many of you can whistle the tune to Tetris? I imagine every single one of you reading this, to include the person reading over your shoulder on the bus. As pervasive as Gangnam Style was, nothing has settled into the brains of gamers like the Tetris theme. 

It’s simple but catchy, and never seems to get old. Just when you’ve had enough, it flips on its side and throws a bridge at you. You know what, you’re not even paying attention anymore. You just want to hear the damn music. Fine. I know when I’m beat. 

But that’s not all. This song has been done a dozen ways from Sunday, and many of them are pretty damn entertaining.

Tetris certainly has one of the catchiest themes in all of gaming, but is it the most epic? Does it get your heart stirring? I think not. No, I believe that honor goes to one game alone.
