The Morning Roundup: Watchmen, Star Trek Character Posters, T4 Concept Art, Trek Trailer Details
Written by: Big Ross, CC2K Staff Writer
This morning we have news of a Knight Rider reboot, a Karate Kid remake, Star Trek trailer details, new posters for Watchmen, new concept art from T4, and more!
Heh, Knight Rider is getting rebooted . After the two-hour miniseries prompted NBC to order a weekly series, the network ordered a full season even though the freshman show has been tanking in the ratings and panned by just about everyone. So what's the deal? Evidently a "mid-season two-parter will retool the series which aims to bring the show back in line with the original series. Showrunner Gary Scott Thompson says 'We're moving away from the terrorist-of-the-week formula and closer to the original, making it a show about a man and his car going out and helping more regular people, everymen.'"
Right, because that's what people want to see.
Oh sweet lord, The Karate Kid is getting remade and re-tooled for Will Smith's kid Jaden Smith. Brilliant idea.
IESB is reporting that director McG is on the sort list of helmers for a feature film adaptation of Wonder Woman. If he can resurrect the Terminator franchise, could he make WW work?
Apparently some industry insiders got a chance to see the Star Trek Trailer that will premiere with Quantum of Solace this weekend, and they've gien the skinny to AICN. I'm not going to post the entire synopsis in this roundup, so if you just can't wait until this weekend click HERE to read its SPOILER-filled description.
