The always sexy Strong Bad of Homestarrunner fame finally has his own video game. We also have news of a great merger between two great geek sites, as well as great pics and spoilers.
At long last, a formal Homestarrunner video game is hitting the market in June: Telltale's Strong Bad's Cool Game for Attractive People (SBCG4AP) for WiiWare. I'm not entirely familiar with WiiWare, but it sounds like an online community? Of some kind? Where people can play together? I don't know, but you can get more information on the new game at its official website. Apparently the game will play out in five episodes like a TV season.
Two great websites are forming an alliance: our friends over at Pretty-Scary.net are teaming up with kindred spirit PinkRaygun.com to deliver geeky, fun and horror-related news to geeky women and men everywhere. Hopefully this new alliance will use its powers for good, not evil.
Natalie Portman is set to star in a new adaptation of Wuthering Heights.
Heh. Disney nabbed the rights to the new comedy Family Dude. Dig Variety's headline.
Quentin Tarantino will give a lecture at the Canne Film Festival.
Colin Farrell will star in Bosnian director Danis Tanovic's Triage.
Wow. After Avatar, James Cameron plans to shoot a small drama in 3D just to prove it's a good way to watch movies.
JoBlo has spoiler-y casting news for the upcoming Wolverine movie, which I'll add below in inviso-text:
British actor and expert martial artist Scott Adkins will be playing Weapon 11.
Mmmm … Fast and the Furious 4 spoilers … in inviso-text below:
The girl from the first movie (Michelle Rodriguez) gets killed. Vin Diesel's character goes after her killer. He's forced to team up with Paul Walker again. They both go undercover for the main bad guy. John Oritz is going to blow you sneakers off in this movie – he is BAAAAAAD! The director is a man named Justin Lin, and he's a sweetheart. He said he wants to do "one more" FAST AND THE FURIOUS after this. He's having a great time.
More W casting news: Rob Corddry will play press secretary Ari Fleischer.
