It's another slow news day in the world of entertainment, but we still have some news from Iceland, the United Kingdom and Twitterville. Happy New Year people!
– Diablo Cody's upcoming TV show The United States of Tara will be accompanied by an online commentary by the writer through her Twitter page. Isn't that so quirky and relevant?
– Iceland has been hit badly by the current international economic crisis. But don't worry, Bjork is going to sort it out! The musician is working with Icelandic investment company Audur Capital to create a fund to help out businesses.
– Jo Blo has some new pics from the upcoming Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Check 'em out .
– Every year, the Queen of the United Kingdom (also known by such crazy names as Head of the Commonwealth, Supreme Governor of the Church of England, Duke of Normandy, Lord of Mann, and Paramount Chief of Fiji), honours some people by giving them symbolic ranks and outmoded titles in recognition of efforts in their fields. This year, fantasy novelist and geek overlord Terry Pratchett is being knighted. Sir Terry, who is famous for his prolific output and the Discworld series, can now comfortably rub shoulders with Paul McCartney, Michael Caine and, er, Walter Raleigh. See more of the new year honours list here .
– Again, slow news day, so we'll finish up with the teaser for upcoming adrenaline flick Crank 2.
