The weekend box office report, trailers for Sukiyaki Western Django and Pride & Glory, and a new image from Terminator Salvation top this morning’s news.
The top five at the box office over the weekend were:
1. The Dark Knight | $43,800,000 |
2. The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor | $42,450,000 |
3. Step Brothers | $16,300,000 |
4. Mamma Mia! | $13,121,000 |
5. Journey to the Center of the Earth | $6,875,000 |
The Dark Knight has some lasting staying power as it held on to the top-grossing spot and is closing in on the $400 million mark.
Wow. It seems that they’ll green-light just about any new series concept. Thomas Jane is set to star as the lead of a pilot for a new comedy series for HBO called Hung that, yes, is about a man with an enormous wang.
The teaser trailer for Transformers 2: Revenge of the Fallen might, *might* premiere in front of Eagle Eye, coming out at the end of September.Here’s a new pic from Terminator Salvation showing Christian Bale and Sam Worthngton facing off:
