Storytime

The Interregnum has begun, and a great war is brewing. In the demonic realm known as Oblivion, the Daedric Prince Molag Bal prepares an army of soldiers and fell beasts. Around the massive land of Tamriel, nobles are seeking to seize power during the political instability. From the mysterious Morrowind to the epic Cyrodil, people of all races and genders ready themselves for the worst.

You begin the story at the end of your life, under the knife of Mannimarco, the King of Worms. Most adventurers would take a moment to rethink their startegy after having their soul forcebly removed, but not you. Now wandering the land as a “soulless one,” you may be the only person alive capable of stopping this war.

Molag Bal plans to enter our reality through Dark Anchors, massive gates to Oblivion secured by even larger chains and hooks. These portals are protected by Bal’s forces, as well as a powerful Daedric Guardian.

Along with the forces of darkness, you will also deal with the turbulent political theater in Tamriel. It seems that, as in Skyrim, no one is sure who should rule during this time of strife. Rather than band together against the coming troubles, the nobles plan to fight it out and see who is left standing. If this feels like a familiar theme, it’s because it is. Not just in Game of Thrones, but in history.

While the player is constantly focused on regaining their lost soul, they will also have to navigate the uncertain waters surrounding this war, and it is likely that, by the end, the player’s actions will have directly influenced the flow of the game.
