Jennifer Hale – Mass Effect

Wait, there were ladies in Mass Effect? Aside from the ones you were meant to bone? (Oh Yaoman Chambers. You mysterious butterfly). Yes, for those of you who made the (wise) choice to play as FemShep, you were treated to–arguably–the best voice actress in the series. Jennifer Hale absolutely destroyed it as Commander Shephard, finding the line between authoritative and relatable with aplomb.

She’s lent her talent to dozens of cartoon shows, including Generator Rex and Regular Show

But her masterpiece was clearly that in Mass Effect. Not to say that Mark Meer didn’t do an admirable job with male Shephard, but Jennifer’s performance was simply better. More nuanced. And, on a side note, the casting director said working with Jennifer was highly enjoyable.

Jennifer has voiced characters from Dragon’s Age to Halo 5, and she isn’t showing any signs of stopping. With a few new titles on the horizon, there is simply nothing this incredible actress can’t do.
