Lionsgate has announced that, having acquired the worldwide rights to Albert Einstein and in particular the biography, "Einstein: His Life and Universe", it will develop a movie based on said biography.  While I haven't read the book, it reportedly looks at his early (and most prolific) years as a theoretical physicist and mathematician.

Alan and Gabe Polsky are producing, and Walter Isaacson (author of the biography) will be serving as an exclusive consultant for the film.

Unlocking the secrets of the universe not only gets you a Nobel Prize, but into women’s pants as well. Who knew?

Lest you worry that this is going to be A Beautiful Mind minus the hunky Russell Crowe and mental breakdown (meaning math and nothing but) Polsky has said that the movie will explore Einstein's personal and romantic life.  Not only did he have one, but evidently he had a reputation as something of a philanderer in his youth.

For those of you who are curious, Wikipedia summarizes Einstein's contributions as follows:

Einstein's many contributions to physics include his special theory of relativity, which reconciled mechanics with electromagnetism, and his general theory of relativity which extended the principle of relativity to non-uniform motion, creating a new theory of gravitation. His other contributions include relativistic cosmology, capillary action, critical opalescence, classical problems of statistical mechanics and their application to quantum theory, an explanation of the Brownian movement of molecules, atomic transition probabilities, the quantum theory of a monatomic gas, thermal properties of light with low radiation density (which laid the foundation for the photon theory), a theory of radiation including stimulated emission, the conception of a unified field theory, and the geometrization of physics.

If you understand any of that, you get a gold star for the day.
