Getting Emotional
One of the big additions to the series is the inclusion of emotions for your Sims. Doing certain acts, or being a part of certain events, lead to emotions for your characters. Did you just walk in on your SO taking a poo? Might put you both into an embarrassed state of mind. Just downed sixteen energy drinks? You should be feeling pretty focused.
These modifiers allow you to accomplish tasks better, or just color up your interactions with the NPCs. Unfortunately, they are mostly just window dressing. Do you want to feel more focused? Just buy items that include that particular perk and voila! You’re a single-minded genius. What’s crazier is that, if your room is filled with more than one emotion-making product, your Sim will suffer through emotions at an alarming rate.
What all that comes to is removing the importance of emotions from the game. Considering how much EA took out, it is frustrating that their one new feature is essentially pointless.
