Shopping Naked on Black Friday

Every year we find ourselves in the same position. The holidays have arrived and sales are reaching a fever pitch, but where should our hard-earned dollars go? With Black Friday now conspicuously starting halfway through Thursday, it is becoming harder to shop savvy at the local big box stores in town. Lucky for us, the Internet provides a thoughtful solution.
Or does it? Has the advent of digital download titles aided in the purchase of video games during the holiday crunch, or has it led us to the slaughter? Steam Sales tend to throw big name titles into the price chopping block, leaving them vulnerable for an impulse purchase. More than once I’ve found myself buying games I can’t even play on a Mac just because they were so reasonably priced at the time.
So who really has the advantage when it comes to attracting the wallets of the world? Has the age of the brick and mortar store finally come to a close?
