Two mid-size production companies are teaming up to bring Clive Barker's Books of Blood stories to the big screen.
The two companies in question are Matador Pictures and Midnight Picture Show (I've never heard of them), and they're hoping to turn this series into a franchise.
They've tapped John Harrison to direct it. Harrison wrote and directed the Sci-Fi channel's workmanlike but oftentimes bland Dune miniseries.
The series follows a paranormal expert who discovers a house that resides at an intersection of highways that shuttle souls to the afterlife.
Man, I love Night Breed and the Hellraiser movies, but Barker's writing is easy to fuck up onscreen. Anyone here remember Lord of Illusions?
