Moonstone Brings Back the Green Hornet & Kato

Moonstone Publishing has announced the creation of a brand new, all original short story collections featuring the legendary pulp heroes, the Green Hornet & Kato. Set to make their debut in late 2009, several anthologies are planned with contributing writers from all facets of the genre; writers Harlan Ellison, Max Allan Collins, Ed Gorman, Mel Odom, Greg Cox, Will Murray, Ron Marz and more are promised. 

“We’re obviously thrilled to add The Green Hornet to our stable of licensed properties,” said Moonstone publisher and The Green Hornet editor Joe Gentile.  “As a huge fan, I’ve dreamed of bringing back and adding to these great characters’ legacy.  It is an honor and a responsibility we take very seriously. I can’t wait to see the new crime fiction stories come in from the many talented authors we have lined up.”

Former Disney artist Ruben Procopio is lined up to provide cover art and interior illustrations for the upcoming anthologies, with an introduction by actor Van Williams, the star of the 1960's Green Hornet television show.
