HACKED: 5 Things You Need to Know About the PSN Hack

1) Who is leading the investigation
Currently, the cyber crimes division of the FBI has the lead on an older case, in which Lizard Squad pulled personal information of 7,000 employees from a Sony server and leaked it online. They claim to be closing in on the list of users claiming to be from the group, but obviously the details of that case are confidential (read: they ain’t putting it up on Google yet).
The premier hacker group Anonymous supposedly has issued a statement against Lizard Squad, saying that the accused are attacking gamers rather than the company, and that future attacks would be met with a heavy response. Since that message did not come from the official Anonymous website, it is hard to say if it is valid.
Needless to say, be prepared for some shenanigans this month as a bunch of people with too much time on their hands ruin it for the rest of us.
