Evangelically Titled New Terminator Movies To Hit Theaters in Summer 2009

I am not a determinist.
What does that mean? I don't believe in fate, and if we fuck up, there exists a parallel universe where we got it right. We're not destined to do anything.
I'm not a huge fan of Terminator 3, but not because it's a bad movie (it isn't). It lacks the magic (not to mention the everpresent blue hue) of a James Cameron movie, but it chugs along with the can-do energy we expect of Jonathan Mostow (U-571, Breakdown).
More details after the jump.
Warner Bros. is already working on a TV counterpart for their sci-fi franchise, The Sarah Connor Chronicles, and now they've kick-started the film series again with a three-picture cycle called Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins, which is set to hit theaters in summer 2009. (Will the sequels be called Terminator Salvation: The Future Begins 2 and 3? Who knows?)
But back to the whole determinism thing: Terminator 3 really sticks in my craw because it jettisons the philosophy of the second movie, where we could control our fate no matter what, and instead falls back on the brute laziness of deterministic thinking, which holds that Judgment Day was destined to happen, no matter what.
