Nobody likes a one-hit-wonder. So when Rovio–the team behind Angry Birds–set out to make a new franchise, people took some notice. Now true, Rovio has put out a consistent stream of ornery avian-related titles, each earning more billions than the last. But this was a step into new territory. No birds would be hurled against sickly green pigs this time.
In Tiny Thief, you play the blonde-haired klepto as he robs from the rich and…well, often enjoys what he stole. Yes, the story develops into a more grand affair as the levels progress, but this is no by-the-numbers Robin Hood.
What makes this game so great is more than just the puzzle-solving gameplay or the jaunty tunes. The animation and tone is perfect, creating a believable universe of absurdity, and making you smile more with each level. There is an excessive amount of creatvity thrown in here, and it is well worth the price of admission.
